rare Antique Japanese Kinkozan Kyoto Vase with Water Birds - Meiji Period
Antique Japanese Kinkozan vase, made in Kyoto during the Meiji period, circa 1890. Decorated with ducks, geese and other water birds, flowing water and waves in pale blue, cream, brown and deep blue with gilt details. The vase has a tall flared neck with two openwork fan-shaped handles and fine craquelure throughout the glaze. Marked Kinkozan on the base.
