French Transition Art Nouveau-Art Deco Chandelier by Degué (David Guéron), France, circa 1925-1930, in brass, rare.

Exceptional French chandelier by Degué (David Guéron), crafted in brass and fitted with three frosted moulded glass shades and a matching central bowl. The floral shades are richly decorated in relief, while the central bowl features refined geometric motifs characteristic of the emerging Art Deco period.
An elegant and decorative lighting fixture reflecting the transition from Art Nouveau to Art Deco: the floral shades retain Art Nouveau, while the geometric decoration of the central bowl and the balanced composition anticipate Art Deco. The brass frame showcases craftsmanship and retains a beautiful patina. The combination of sculptural glass, decorative elements and elegant ornamental brasswork gives the chandelier a timeless presence.

Degué, founded by David Guéron, is renowned for its exceptional glass production and lighting designs of the 1920s and 1930s.
