Rare Franklin Mint "Birds of Love" Music Box - Early Large Edition - biscuit Porcelain Doves in Brass Cage - 27 cm - Collector's Piece, made in Japan for FM.
Exceptionally rare early-edition "Birds of Love" music box by The Franklin Mint, dated 1987. This is the large, deluxe version featuring two exquisitely modelled white porcelain doves set inside a substantial brass-tone cage on a sculptural weighted base. Unlike later smaller productions, this early edition is larger, heavier, and far more detailed, making it a true collector's piece.
The porcelain birds show refined modelling and soft matte gloss, capturing movement and tenderness beautifully. The brass cage structure is finely crafted and visually striking, giving the piece a unique presence in any interior. The musical mechanism plays smoothly when wound.
Fully marked on the underside with the original Franklin Mint brass medallion.
In excellent vintage condition, especially rare in this early, large format.
