Art Nouveau Grape Dish with Ceramic Insert and silvered Mount, c.1900-1925
Original Art Nouveau / Jugendstil grape dish dating from the early 20th century (circa 1900-1925). This oval serving dish features a ceramic insert decorated with grape clusters and vine leaves, set into an openwork metal mount with side handles, originally silver-plated.
The open metal gallery was specifically designed to allow air circulation, making the dish suitable for serving grapes and other fruit at the table. The grape motif reflects both the function and the decorative language typical of the Art Nouveau period.
