Antique Dutch Engraving - "Den Overtoom, ziende na de Stad" - Amsterdam View
Copper engraving depicting the Overtoom in Amsterdam, viewed towards the city. The print shows daily life along the waterway with boats, pedestrians and horse-drawn carts, providing a detailed impression of Amsterdam before the large-scale nineteenth-century urban expansions.
Titled:
"Den Overtoom, ziende na de Stad."
The engraving appears after a design by J. de Beyer and was engraved by C. Philips Jacobsz., both known for their topographical views of Dutch cities and landscapes during the eighteenth century.
Presented in a later frame with passe-partout.
