Art nouveau tegels - Boizenburg - gedateerd ca 1910, Henri Cassiers
Art Nouveau / Jugendstil-tegels van: Boizenburger Wandplattenfabrik,
Hans Duensing, Boizenburg an der Elbe. Fabriek opgericht in 1903.
De tegels zijn in zeer goede staat, met prachtige reliëfs en glazuren.
De achterkant is gemarkeerd met Boizenburg en het decornummer.
Deze jugendstil tegel is naar tekeningen van Henri Cassiers ( Antwerpen 1858 - Elsene 1944 ), vervaardigd in de tegelfabriek van Boizenburg ( Elbe West-Duitsland ) ca 1910.
Henri Cassiers was opgeleid als architect maar ontwikkelde zich tot een beroemd ( reclame )-tekenaar, illustrator en lithograaf. Hij was verrukt over het landschap van Nederland, met name de kuststreek. Hij tekende er de boeren en vissers in hun dagelijkse bestaan.
Afmeting ca : 150 x 150 x 10 mm
