Original German adjustable atelier stool, model Bombenstabil Pufferdreh, manufactured by Holzindustrie Stoelcker and dating from circa the 1930s.
Made of dark stained wood with a round revolving seat, four curved legs and a substantial central screw mechanism for height adjustment. The metal fitting around the column carries the characteristic industrial art deco construction associated with this model.
Originally intended for atelier, workshop, drafting or gallery use.
The seat measures approximately 37 cm in diameter.
good condition: nice patina and some visible age-related wear to the wood, consistent with its original working use.
