Large Japanese Arita porcelain charger dating to the Edo period, circa 1750-1790.
The design is executed in underglaze cobalt blue (sometsuke) and features a finely drawn radiating net (ami) pattern, highlighted with scattered stylised blossom motifs surrounding a central floral medallion. The reverse is decorated with floral sprays and bears an underglaze blue kiln or workshop mark within a double circle.
The charger displays the refined craftsmanship associated with 18th-century Arita production. The underside retains four firing spur marks.
Good antique condition with age-related wear. There is a small rim chip with hairline and another hairline extending from the rim, both shown in the photographs.
